📖 Project Description

Stars form in groups out of dense molecular cloud cores. With time, the group continues to disintegrate either because member stars interact with each other with some escaping, or by external tidal disruption. It is believed that only a small fraction of the embedded stellar groups survived to become the star clusters we witness today. The summer student will join this ongoing project to diagnose the survivability of star clusters, including the debris groups that have been thrown out in the dissolving process.
